Chow Mein Noodles

Simple and versatile, this hearty noodle can be the foundation for any Asian noodle soup or stir fry. It can be as simple as pan-frying it with soy sauce and sesame oil to create a quick dish.

Cooking Guide

A. Simple Stir-Fry

  • • Preheat wok or large frying pan on medium-high heat. Add 2 tbsp oil.
    • Add Hon’s Chow Mein Noodles and 1/4 cup oyster, soy, hoisin or other stir-fry sauce.
  • • Cook until heated through.

B. Classic Stir-Fry

  1. Thinly slice or chop 1 lb of meat or firm tofu plus 4 cups of your favorite vegetables (i.e. carrots, broccoli, celery, mushrooms, bean sprouts, peas, green beans, and/or cabbage).
  2. Preheat wok or large frying pan on medium-high heat. Add 2 tbsp oil. Cook meat until done; set aside.
  3. Stir-fry vegetables.
  4. Add meat plus 1/4 cup oyster, soy, hoisin or other stir-fry sauce. Stir until blended and well heated.
  5. Add Hon’s Chow Mein Noodles. Mix well and serve.

C. Crispy Pan-Fry

  1. Add 2 tbsp oil to pan.
  2. Add Hon’s Chow Mein Noodles. Cover and cook for 2 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Flip noodles and cook 2 more minutes.
  4. Remove noodles to serving plate.
  5. Prepare meat and vegetables with sauce as in Classic Stir-Fry, above (steps 1 and 2).
  6. Top noodles with meat, vegetables and sauce mixture. Serve.

Noodles and Soup

  1. Heat broth or soup of your choice.
  2. Add your favorite meat, vegetables or tofu and heat until done.
  3. Add Hon’s Chow Mein Noodles and serve.
